Die a lot easier and therefore is a waste of time.

 

Die alot easier is preciously they need experience. Thus battle hard Veterans are harder to skill, it's like throwing a blackbelt against a yellow belt in a martial arts tournament. The Blackbelt normally wins because of more experience. Or like World War I, towards the end the casuality rates soared because they were sending 16 15 14 year olds into battle.

 

I would like to see if you could get troopers move up to field commanders with field experience

no they're not! if you shot a person with a bullet his down and down for good. yes he maynot feel fear the same as some green guy. but with infantry they have no armour! there for a blaster bolt or to kills them therefore its pointless. on heroes maybe but i don't know if anyone suggests starfighters needs a slap put them up against a tartan or corvette type and there dead no matter how many battles they've been in.

yes but its not like they're going to be able to stand more damage than any other unit. period therefore have experience is a waste of time and coding end of discussion.

It was one of the only capabilities that Force Commander did right in my opinion.  However, recognizing this would probably be a bitch to reintegrate, I personally feel it should have taken on with this type of game, an ability that only resided with space and ground commanders rather than every single unit type - Just the units or formations that commanders occupy.

maybe not more life, but more damage and defense, boosting moral.... that sort of thing

no matter how many battles hes lived through.. an AT AT shot is still going to send his squad flying across the gallaxy..

end of story ^^

Well if he's smart and got alot of experience he'll know to bring a mirror or a gungan shield and then at-at shot will be neutralized.

more experience would mean better skills in other words smarter AI

 

but the problem with that is the player is the one who does all the tactics

 

 

also if they did more damage they would have to have a modified gun in which case the gun would have to have new downfalls

 

although it might make more difference in space if they had it

 

 

these are the only two realistic style improvements i can think or for more skill

 

 

fighters: more tricks and more daring moves and maneuvers

 

capships: change rates of fire between the guns in each battery when attacking fighters (but this would have no changing effect against enemy bigships)

to be honest oom-911 your fire rate against Fighters idea just defies the point of Cap ships being weak against fighters! which i have to point out they're meant to be. and the more tricks is also really hard to code and would take up way too much graphics power to run.

yeah well this was a long over discussion Unit Experience is not in FOC and i'm fed up of noobs talking about it so i'm locking this topic

 

 

btw it maybe realistic but you have to be able to understand you may think it would look  great but you'll be damning the thing when its lagging every second because youre pc's not ultimate.
