Thread was created for modders to share units amongst each other so if you got a unit you may reply. Comments are to be done in the sister topic. Any posts will either be put into the Slag heap or the sister unit.

 

Make sure to add a picture (big or small), Link, and any important information the topic surfer needs to know before getting their hands on it. And again if anybody decides to request or start a discussion please use the sister topic below. When the unit is done post here to make things easier to find.

Okay, so seeing as I was primarily responsible for that bit of minor flaming, and as long as no-one minds registering to get hold of the content then theres around 100 models which are freely usable for multigame conversion. Star trek, Stargate and also Star Wars models are there, and I can vouch (sp??) for the content as I'm an admin on the site and forum. Anyway, heres the link:

The Imperial Scimitar Assault Bomber - I've only seen this in one other mod, and the skin was terrible.

There's a tutorial that goes over all this stuff for 3DS Max. To get an idea of time spent learning:

 

Model #1) E-Wing: 4 hours

Model #2) TIE Sentinel: 2.5 hours

Model #3) Scimitar Bomber: 2 hours

Model #4) XJ-Wing: ~1 hour

 

Those are just the initial estimates on my time spent thus far. I'm still learning, but I'm working on a capital ship now, so no guarantees as of yet.

@Monkeybiz, Just added your E-Wing to my mod, and it look's un skinned ? -just looks all grey with nothing else like details. I obviously placed the texture files in the relevant folder so I know I did that.

Hmmm, it worked just fine on my home PC. I'm at my dad's until next Wednesday, so I'll upload an updated version then to see if it fixes the problem.

 

Also, make sure you have FoC. That might have something to do with it.
