I thought Microsoft wanted to milk the Halo fans dry  ??? A normal game hyped to this and movies? The hell? Ah well what can you do  :-\ Lets see how this game turns out in RTS form, maybe it will show something we haven't seen already  Sorry wanted to get Cheese back  :

How was BFME 2 for Xbox 360? One of my school friends told me it was horrible and not worth getting. If Halo wants to be good it should get on PC like Dr.Nick said  :

yeah i know. or at least have it for both. well they say they are makeing it from the ground up for the xbox 360 but it will most likely be crap on console. hopefully microsoft will put it on the PC as well.

I can understand how a PC port to console can be crap but...a game made just for and to the specifications of consoles? Excuse me if I miss the logic...

It will probably be alrite, but because it is halo people will probably think it was the best game ever.

a halo RTS........ Ive thought about that before, I didn't think they would actually do that!  At least Esamble is making it  but then again it is for the Xbox360  an RTS for a console.... I think they did that to starcraft didn't they? it was on the N64 or something. Halo Wars, that's the most origional name they could come up with? hmmmmmm.... Then again what else would you call it? Will they make 3 games as the FPS's or just accomodate them all into one game?

 

Hmmmm..... That trailer was pretty neat, looks sweet but who knows what it will really be like. If it was for PC I'd instantly put it on my MUST GET list, except that it will probably be rated M and my parents won't let me play M games  :-\ . And the fact that is only on the Xbox360  I don't have one and didn't really plan on getting one unless my parents would let me get halo 3. 

 

Well one thing is for sure, this in another weapon that microsoft will use in the console war. Maybe even if they could somehow get "Halo Wars" and Halo 3 to be released at the same time then BOOM! up goes the sales of the Xbox360  :

 

Maybe they will put in on PC 2 years later like thay have done with Halo one and halo 2  and make us get new operating systems just to play it too

If it was for PC I might of tried it out just for the hell of it. Also nothing can top the PS3 yet since all we are hearing are the noobs crying at each other while the serious people are sitting back and waiting for the rise of the PS3 to happen. Crap I got into console wars :/ (edit: Didn't mean the console war bit but i'll keep it in) Actually I tried Starcraft 64 and it was ok but same as the PC game really but PC stands out more since you can rip it and play it on any computer and over hyped. Even Assassin's Creed is over hyped but what can you do  :

Rise of the PS3? I'm no console fanboy, but as long as the PS3 costs the same as a small house, I'm sceptical.

 

Anyway, Ensemble aren't daft. But this is a lot of new territory for them, so it'll be fun to see how they handle it.

I hate the idiotic rantings about the Halo franchise being milked, it doesn't make any sense. Any franchise that does well is milked to death by every single developer from Mario to Zelda to Doom to Final Fantasy to EVERYTHING. On the other hand though if you think Halo doesn't have a good story or is boring that's your personal opinion and I respect that but to say that it's being milked unlike other games it's stupid here is just one of the greatest cash cows in the industry one of my earlier posts... Kinda like Konami keeps milking Metal Gear/Solid for all its worth? with more than triple the number of MGS games to Halo....

 

That makes sense, of course anyone would milk something succesfull isn't that what petro is doing to EAW by making an expansion?

Yes, but I doubt the movie will be based directly off the plot of the game, rather than just a side-story like the novels or the RTS.

Microsoft shut down a Bungie APPROVED mod for CNC Zero Hour. I think most of you should know the name. HALOGEN shut down so Microsoft can make Halo Wars.

 

For that reason I'm not going to buy Halo Wars.

well i can see it being shut down if halo wars was for PC but if its only Xbox360. why cant halogen cont. i mean there not going to loss sales if its on PC(well they might loss a bit but not much)
