Hey, I dunno if any of you go to the Microsoft website frequently, but I do. Internet Explorer 7 RC1 (release Candidate 1) is available for download. I'll give a little review on what it is like:

Pros:

1. Tabs: they greatly reduce the clutter on your taskbar, much more organized. Now you can just click on a tab on the top of your screen to go to another web page rather than starting a whole new page.

2. Norton Internet Security 2006 now runs correctly on RC1. The never-ending refresh that would be an annoying problem has been fixed.

3. Cool new desktop icon. I always thought the blue was lame. Now it's got a streak of gold going through it.

4. Home Pages: You can now have more than one home page. It will load up each homepage you specify on a tab when you start IE up.

5. Web pages are displayed bigger.

Cons:

1. No visible refresh button. Have to you use a hotkey to refresh.

2. When using a link, it starts a new page rather than a tab.

3. Takes some getting used to. Everything has been organized so it looks better but you have to find where it is all at.

4. Still has a few bugs, but all minor.

release candidate? so does that mean that it's not "official" yet? Actually I don't have clue about these things, when people ask me what browser I use I say "uhhhhh...... the internet?"  ;D

I'm not sure what it means either  ::). I think its a test of mabey like 3 different styles and the one that gets the most positive feedback will be the international release.

Firefox is a internet explorer like the internet explorer that you get standard but i has built in differences and has other advantages to it.

It's a LOT better.  I'm using it right now!  It has a CRAPLOAD of extensions and stuff for it.  It came out with tabs first (or before IE, anyways), also.  GET IT.

IE 7 IS a Firefox wannabe.

Anyways Microsoft isn't going to have extensions or themes (maybe themes) because they only want people using their stuff.
