umm, that tut is to add engine glows, not resize them

 

i believe some one said previously on here before the posts were gone is to go to 2e4

Maybe you can change them somewhere in the XMLs. I haven't gone that far into coding.

No, it's hex editor job. I've managed to do it with the 'try-and-fail method', it's slighly different for each kind of engine (I resized Y-Wing's and gave them for Sovereign SSD).

Yes its in the hex edit.. I myself have never tried.. as im steering away from using engines..

 

But grab bails SSD engine then grab the Y wing engine.. and find out whats different..

that should be the resize. .since they are the same particle

no.. quite a few people know...

 

I just dont happen to because i dont use engine glows anymore...

I know a few people who do know.. but.. who knows where they are atm

I am pretty sure what swgbex means is nt using the EaW enigne glows, rather skins like this Lancer I converted from Warlords:

yeah, those work I guess...for the non-round glows anyway...although in FoC there are rectangular engine glows, so we could probably add proper engine glows to them once FoC comes out.

DIdint link to it as a pic.. because its too big.. but .. i just like its got more detail than the EAW ones.. but im going to fix that with different custom particles later on..

 

Ooh, cool. How do you do that? Just leave them in place when converting the model?

I dont know how he does it but, I just made a plane where I wanted the engines, then made an engine skin, then just applied it to the plane with MeshAdditive.FXO I think.... :P
