I'm looking for someone(s) that would be willing to help me beta test it and give me feedback on what needs to be changed and what needs to be added. I'm looking for experienced testers that know their way around the EaW directory (there's stuff everywhere) and ideally have some experience themselves. MonkeyBiz Posted September 27, 2006 Author Share Posted September 27, 2006 Beta testing refers to a stage in a software lifecycle following the alpha stage. The alpha stage is when the main parts of the application are working, but there are still a lot of bugs and there's other stuff like models and textures and whatnot. The beta stage is "Feature complete" where everything is in, and you just have to get it working. Beta testing is working through the beta stuff to get everything working. So alpha is like where the game's core operations are generally being developed and the beta is where they are testing the game to get it working and fix bugs and balance issues. If I give you .txt, .alo, .ala, .dds, .meg, .xml, and .ted files, would you know where they all go just based on their filenames? Also, I've decided to edit the Home One files to say "Ackbar is also extremely adept at detecting traps." Just a little inside humor for everyone. And I've decided to name it the Monkey Mod. Why?
