changing the resolution in the game??

Recommended Posts

Ellow dear Starwars Empire at war fans,

Well I just bought this game which will be fantastic, I am talking in present tense cause I have not played it yet cause I can not change the ingame resolution.

The ingame resolution is on 1800x1440 which is like WAY WAY to high.... but I can not change it,  the game detects it it self and like... thats it :|  I cant find a way to change it.   I have checked some of the

MEG files and other files but well, there was no config data for the resolution files in there.

Soooo my question is,  HOW can I change the resolution in this game??

Hope you guys can help me

Hi, I don't want to post a new post, so here are the steps.

1. Get into a match in SP. (Skirmish is best).

2. Okay, now go to the pause menu and select options.

3. Select Visual.

4. Select which resoulution you want and click "Apply".

5. Click "OK" and it will flash. Now it should say "Your resolution has changed. Accept?" and click "Yes."

That's all that should be nessisary. If it doesn't work, then reporrt back. If it does, post anyway and tell us it did.

Cheers!

Dear Starwars man,

Well ummmm :P  NOPE your thing doesnt work,  Like I said before, when I go to the visual part, and check the box on the left which contains the different resolutions that you can choose?  I only have this one really odd resolution of 1800x1440 75hz    and thats it.

I do have some experience with gaming :P  (15 years or so)  so I do know how to basicly change everything in whatever game I have played so far,  soooo everything you discribed I already have done so a long long time ago.

I hope you might have some other suggestions for me, cause in this case I have no clue.

I go have a program that forces the hz for all games at 100hz, maby thats what causing the problem, I am going to check that out but again I hope you have some other clues for me

Well,

I Starwars man,  I turned of the proggie, and loo and behold,  now instead of one resolution, I have like at least 20 so no I can choose the one I want, although,  and thats the but in this sentance,  I cant choose 100hz  85hz is the highest.... which is kind of low for me, so Il try and see if I can force it to work at 100hz

Allrighty,

Turned on the program, forced all resolutions till hmmzz 1024x768 to be at 100hz and well the game started,  at 1024x768 100hz  the monitor is saying its at 100hz  only its not saying that its at 1024x768 but when I check the video part of the options, the only thing in the box is 1800x1440  and thats probally because thats the only resolution that I didnt configure to be at 100hz.

But il keep my hands from it right now and just enjoy the game.

I do think though that this is something that should be fixed in a coming patch or something.  Cause I think it should be possible to play this game at 100hz if you want to.  Or well at any hz for that matter
