Here's one.

1) get the image you want.

2) Create an alpha channel for areas around your ship. Tutorial:Alpha

3) Resize it down to 50 by 50.

4) Save as .tga

5) Download: MTD Editor

6) Extract the MTD Editor.

7) Run MTDedit.exe

8) Open Mt_commandbar.MTD and it's matching Mt Commandbar.tga file

9) Press Edit.

10) Insert

11) Select your image, rename to something descriptive.

12) Figure out a way to put it in game.

Hope it helps.

When your outnumbered, you've got more targets to shoot AND less chance of missing.

That is exactly what you have to do.Using phoshop is the best and fastest way to do icons.I am pretty fast in this as I have replaced nearly all the icons for my Eaw.I say nearly as what you need is always a good picture of the ship or troop you are going to do the icon for which is sometime diffucult for the lack of images themselves.

Not for someone who rarely uses PS. I've actually found you PSP to be far easier and quicker, for myself anyway. Even with that tutorial and after half a dosen attempts and 2 hours wasted (on the last attempt), I gave up.
