Sorry guys... explaination for the downtime and server reset

 

Good news though, this forum is running Simplemachines 1.1 RC3 now. Which means better protection against spam accounts, as well as many other issues fixed such as posting the words feedback

the Forces of Corruption Folder for threads

OMG - we are 700 members low - jesss - why no backups have been made in 6 months?

 

 

HA HA HA - the old lost deleted mods in attachements are back .... pls make sure you don't delete them by mistake again. And we need the subforums missing back up.

 

I think I am a little upset.

but i really would like to know why there were no backups for the last 6 months.

Whoa...Fosh is just a moderator, lol. Uhm, yeah. I think some things need to be done:

 

• Give Fosh admin powers. (check, done)
   
  
• Reinstate the sub-forums.(About half done)
   
  
• Give Moderators (like me) their powers back. (half done)
   
  
• Get Juggernaut off CnC 3.

 

And that's just a few things.

Thanxs for calling me a dunce... *shrugs* - I'm just doing the job that Stratus did. I'm still trying to figure out why we didn't have active backups in place.

Whatever was recovered did not have the complete backup. Notice what you had was all of 3 MB. I had to restore the backups from April, which were nearly 280 MB of files.

hey!

there are others that need their moderator powers back. Me Included.  SWM as well.

and a lesson learnt from this is to make regular back ups of the server even if its like once a month.

Post count never really mattered, since we all know each other well.  It is the topics we lost and info, but lots of things can be remembered and brought back.
