.. does anyone else think it's absolutely hilarious if/when people write "EU", and into your head pops "European Union"?

 

Think about it. A minute ago i read "Your anti-EU Shotgun". To me, that is utterly [swearword] hilarious.

 

Now go put "European Union" in for every time you see "EU", and see how funny it is.

 

Sorry about this, but "The Bar" seems the best place to put a random musing.

Well I'm not going to say that all EU is horrible, because its not.  Nor will I say that all EU is good, because its not.  The EU follows the well known law of mediocrity which states that 98% of human endeavors (Novels, Drawing, Art, Math) suck.  Its the lowly 2% that actually are worth anything.

Okay.  To end this once and for all, I know of one EU thing that everyone likes.  It's the best, and it's a good thing it's canon.

 

The Thrawn Trilogy.

 

I don't know why I liked this so much.  It was just...good....  It was very well written, and presented a nice view of....I feel like I'm writing a report......

 

Anyway, I can safely assume that most people like this EU trilogy, and that it is one of the best out there.  And also, we can agree on one thing:

I'm offended by this comment since I like how Europe looks and operates. Well i'm also offended by this comment since my classmate keeps on talking crap about my favourite vacation area (Eastern Europe) where the best beer comes from, Slovakia. Well it might be my fault for being so "picky" but I dont really mean it this seriously so think of this as a slight joke.

 

Ya I also kept on thinking about EU when someone kept on refering to it as Expended Universe and I go  ???.

hay i live in Europe (Britain) and the thing i dont like about the European Union is that its not Equal Voices for all France has the biggest Vote! thats not fair it should run like the UN equal voice with the founders needing a majority vote for a Veto. (i know they don't need the majority vote for a Veto but thats how it should run then i doesn't just serve the US or one of the Permanent Members uses. they should need 4-5 permanent members in agreement for a Veto.)
