Popcorn2008 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 When you get to the point when you want to take a screen, pause your game or you have to move quickly. Follow these steps: 1.) When ready, press the Print Scrn key. Usually located above the Insert, Home, and Page up keys.2.) Alt-Tab out of the game and open a program such as MS Paint.3.) In the edit menu, push paste.4.) Now save your image. Does that help? ;D And BTW, welcome to the forums! http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg> Petroglyph Forums Moderator> LucasForums Moderator

Dorkthehunter Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 yes it does but why can't i just hit F12Thanks for the welcomeonce i get ahang of the game i will post more Well......maybe your fingers refuse to hit F12. Or maybe you don't have an F12 key! Instead, you have F13!!! Anywho.....you can just hit F12. It will save it in a file. Your best bet to finding the file is going to the Windows Start menu, going to "search", then over to "for files or folders" and then type in "screenshots" and the folder should come up. But the real problem is getting them into a format that you can view them and then paste them onto this site...Or you can take pictures with Xfire by hitting "Scroll Lock" and S. Note: You have to be logged into Xfire at the time to take them. You can view them by on the Xfire menu, go to files(next to "friends" and "servers") and then to "screenshots"(towards the bottom I think) and then to "local"(probably) and then bang! They're there! Hope this helps. And welcome to the forums! Protecting the world from those who have an IQ higher than 30! Huzzah! Trust me...I'm a professional. Mikan Cyclone Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 You can convert the screenshots by opening them using the nvidia tools (in the tools and tutorials forum in EAW general mod workshop), then saving them in any form you want using "save as..." I normally use Jpegs, but PNG's work good too. BMP's work the best but their HUGE. By the way, the screenshots(in windows XP) are in C:\Documents and Settings\*name followed by a reallly long number*\Application Data\Petroglyph\screenshots. Hope that helps as well. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
