Damn they're still at it. These mothers should stop being lazy idiots and actually look at what they're getting for their kids instead of crying a river.  No wonder the earth is getting flooded since look at how much attention the games are getting from all the crying. Pathetic.

"OMG MMORPG are hurting our children omg we are to lazy to do anything so we are putting up sites and crying about it because we are lazy to hide games in the closet or check what we buy omg"

I emailed them once now you email them if you want. I like starting reality check wars  8) Sadly they're too stupid to understand games are meant for fun. Well to bad the Ancient Roman's and Greeks played to much video games so they started so many wars cause they got too many hissy fits from losing. Also Germans decided to start WW2 because Russia owned them in Battlefield 1942 and decided to make it real.

Yes I will turn into a dictator just from playing Rise of Nations and Civilization 4 yes...........right. I'll turn into a driving maniac for playing Need For Speed. I'll turn into a trooper for playing FPS war games. Hey i'll just happen to inlist into the military just to get my hands on a U-Boat (Silent Hunter 3). I might just also enlist into the military just to fly a military jet of any sort (Flight Sim).

I'ma throw up now excuse me.........................

counter with that :P

Im goin to go fly a millitary aircraft at Area 51 and blow up a dome shaped device and say "i got the genorators!" (EAW)

Hardcore gaming not only leads to video game addiction and abrupt lifestyle changes, but to crime and felony as well. Hardcore gamers never buy computer video games. Instead, downloading illegally copied video games or “warez” is the only method acceptable by the underground. Buying a legit copy is grounds for abandonment by community groups. You may not be buying your child videogames, but they can illegally obtain them off the internet.

Are you kidding me.. this "underground" woulnt ban people for buying EAW or BF 2.. i have never seen a gamers forums where they ban people for saying i bought a game.. i normally find the contrary..

--------edit

ROFL i was surfin their site and look what i saw.. google to the rescue..  it would have been funny if that second part wasnt there :P

AH yes, the Video game debate.

OK listen, people get all upset about one or two incidents where a person snaps and goes killing everything in site.  Then, they find out the kid has been playing a video game before killing the people and it's autimatically put to blame.  This is exactly what people like Jack Thompson are doing.  They were most likely messed up before they even played the game in the first place

Now I admit, it is a good idea not to sell violent videogames to everyone.  Five year olds should not be playing Postal or Grand Theft Auto (In my opinion, Grand Theft Auto should be completely off the market, but too many people like it, and I'm just one loser, so what can I do?).  The people who buy these games for their children, without even looking at them, are the problem.  Parents, STOP BLAMING VIDEO GMAES WHEN YOUR THE ONE WHO BOUGHT THEM FOR YOUR CHILD!!

YEA STOP IT!!

Yes i agree.. u cant have a 5 yr old play GTA because.. ANYTHING not only video games can affect his mind in a negative way.. its just too easy

And if you dont know that ur son is playing GTA or has bought a game like so .. should lost custody of his children because obvously they dont spend enough time with their kids at all to realize.. wow .. my son got his hands on GTA.. I bet if you look around his room a little more often or watch what he does sometimes you might find out that there are a lot worse things he might do than just play video games *cough* crack*cough*

Let's see how they handle this:

(E-Mail I sent them.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear MAVAV,

First of all, all I am asking in this email is for you to listen and read. Do not shun an email simply on the grounds that it may go against your beliefs and/or moral values. I just want to send in an opinion on what I think of your cause. I will do so in a constructive manner and in doing so I expect the same from MAVAV.

I'm sure that you receive this very comment quite frequently, but the main problem in your arguments is that computers are something children do not go out and buy themselves. In the modern world, it may be a necessity, though it isn't a requirement. If you must purchase a computer, it is quite easy to prevent a child from logging on and accessing video games. Many operating systems include a form of networking, which in turn supports multiple users for a single system. Windows XP, the most popular OS of today, supports such a feature. If a parent wanted to prevent video games as a whole, simply place a password on your computer. Apple, and their operating systems support similar features as do many versions of free operating systems such as Linux. And yet no where on your website do you show parents exactly how to set this up on their own personal computers. There is no real reason as to why your child should become addicted to video games than a parent's poor judgment. It is the job of a parent to control their child's urges and wants.

Video games are only the modern scape goat for bad parenting skills. Before the on creation of video games there have been many excuses parents create for the violence they see in their children.

On your main page you explain, "Underground" video game clans. Never in my life have I seen what you describe as an "illegal download" community that downloads games online instead of buying them. This sounds more like using the fears of illegal MP3 downloads to try and bring more parents over to believing that these communities actual exist. Again, this is the fault of the parent for not monitoring their child's Internet activities. I myself, am a moderator of two gaming forums, and we do not support the illegal downloads of video games at all. In fact illegal downloading is grounds for a permanent ban from our forums. The two such forums I work for are Lucas Forums, a respected foruming group (www.lucasforums.com) and the Petroglyph Fan Forums (www.pff.swrebellion.com). Our forums are hardly "underground."

In the style of many a great activist before me, I submit to you a challenge MAVAV. I would appreciate you to post emails, such as this, that are constructive on your website. Show everyone a more extensive view of society. By doing this you will be showing many other people that you are not simply another society that shuns all views but their own. If you do this, you will have gained my respect.

Stop Jack Thompson before he goes any further. E-mail him at jackpeace@comcast.net and let him know how you feel about having all our video games banned

From gamespot  ::) Well i'ma go email him while I still have my brain cap on. If anybody wants to join me go for it and post what you emailed and I will when i'm done  8)

Right......games make people violent? Well lets look at chess and the conquering and growing Roman Empire shall we? Well since there were no video games back in the day they had games called Chess and Checkers. The Romans, Greeks, Germanic, Britannia and the like all played various games but since i'm focusing on chess I might as well point out something.

Ok so Romans and Greeks were playing Chess one day when the Greeks put the Romans into check with a Queen. Caser getting angry decides to put his pawn to block the queen but the Greek being the smart bunch here used the Bishop to block the kings escape root. Caser now severely agitated now sends his pawn to kill the bishop but now the Greek rook checkmates Caser next round. Caser now angry decides to go slaughter the Greeks like a little two year old until he falls asleep happily under a tree. Germanic now seeing an entrance into the Roman Empire decides to invade and burn it all down just because someone got angry from playing too much Chess.

Woops wrong book I meant to read the history book saying that the Romans wanted to grow their Empire and since war is human nature. The Romans wanted to control all of Europe with wars to prove their might. Us humans wanted to fight even before video games were born and ever since cars came along we wanted to race each other. So next your going to say that we would copy Tetris by dropping boxes down an apartment building. Really now?

So you really want to ban "violent" games right? Ok go try and ban Gundam since it spawns human nature to fight, using mechs as tanks, shouting how politics causes two sides to clash and start a war. Go ahead and ban it and make yourself look more of a fool then you already are. That's right severe the Japanese relationship and prove to the world how idiotic you are to the world. While we are at it lets go ahead and ban Rome Total War since it spawns human nature to conquer territories and using violence as the main game. Right....lets also ban Star Wars Empire at War since it teaches people to stand up for their rights (Rebels) and attack the evil Empire (USA).

I know about the Romans and medieval times if it was not for school or how us humans invented the tank to fight Germany in World War 1. Apparently Europe and Japan love their life that they barely censor anything but if they do its for a reason. Oh and I almost forgot that modding a game does not make a mod part of the retail game since it is a modification. For example you bought a Ford but then you change the transmission from Automatic to manual. Is it the same car you bought or is it different? I say its different then what you purchased since you modified it and yes that sex scene was modded in so learn about games before you bash them biasly.

-Did you know that the Chinese had the largest ships in medieval times and the Spanish's fleet was half that of the Chinese? The ship was called "The Junker" and it was very huge compared to the medieval ships of Europe like Spanish or British ships.

- Did you know that Japanese are very sane yet they play so many variants of games that are also uncensored? Also kids and they're also sane.

- Did you know that three was street racing even before the game called Pong? (Referring to the influence of games impact on us humans which is 0% in the harmful department but 100% in the entertainment department).

- And lastly did you know that Grand Theft Auto 3 scared away a robber that was just about to break into a house but heard the police sirens and shouting in game and ran away. (and you biasly attack GRAND THEFT AUTO).

As a closing part of the e-mail I would like to say that if you need any help with games please consult with people who make games since they know the game best. If there are any issues you must solve then consult them and issues would be solved. If the game is violent then the gamer knows that and so does the rest of the world, we aren't the brainless fools soccer moms think we are. I try and learn as much as I can so I'm not some idiotic gamer like some people categories us in, and Good night.

Yours sincerely,

Tim

I don't care if he miss-understands me since i'll clarify myself later.

"Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) is a digital escape from the real world for emotionally unhealthy and mentally unstable people. It is a place for computer enthusiasts and social outcasts to gather un-bothered and un-harassed by the realities of real life."

Excuse me while I go beat up some ignorant mothers for their ignoratism.

It bring upon us more of famine, death and war,

you know religion has a lot to answer for.
