Do you mind if I tell you, I don't like it? It's takes forever to load and the graphics are just horrible. How do you like this one:

oh that is PEERRTTY

much nicer, i just liked the other 1 because it was basic, though it does miss alot, and it was quick to load 4 me, but i have cable and an ok pc

Actually, when you got the pic that Acerogue linked, it is a very nice basic map. We can make a galaxy map of that, for the basics!
Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...

Hey !! First post !!

 

Anyway, I've been modeling rebellion since I discoverd your site and I'm now working on a New Jedi Order TC. I've got a galactic map done with every planet include in the NJO books. Here what it looks like :

The New republic are on Yavin and the Yuuzhan Vong, on Dubrillion, but it's pretty easy to change that if you need this chart for your TC. You juste have to ask :wink:

Haven't seen any problem with the galactic map by this time ... In fact, it's one of the best I have ever done (since the ''great crash'' that my computer suffer not so long ago :wink: )

 

If any of you want it, just let me know and I'll send you the settings and the DLLs. One of the webmaster could even put it in the Download section, if they find it worthy :o

And it wasn't a challenge to decide which planets or systems were in or out?

I've mod every system there was, so that wasn't a challenge to decide wich I would retain; I've found new names for the sector (either some trade routes names or Space region names). For the planets, I've done some list comprising of every ''important'' planets in the Star wars universe (approx. an 100) and I've place them where they belong on a normal map. When every planets was rename, i've got a whole new and accurate galactic map (Note that I have not rename the Unknow Region because ... well.. they are unknow :wink: )

Not considering my NJO TC, i'm not working on something esle. If I could create models, i would try... but now i'm using SWreb model, wich i found simply amazing. And I also got university that takes a big part of my life...

I have been thinking about doing a NJO TC as well. I have read most every SW book that has been published and still I am most familiar with the NJO books (Those I have read the latest). I would love to have the map you created Gambit.

Hi, haven't seen this thread before.

 

Have you tried to move the NR headquarters to Coruscant ? That's something we still need to do with the Reloaded TC.

 

The map looks very promising, but a bit different from the DeAgostini one, at least in form. :wink:

I've tried to put the NR headquarters on Coruscant ... but my attempt failed miserably. I don't know if you guys found a way to choose a starting location for the headquarters, but help woud be greatly appreciate :wink:

Anyway, You can aways place Yavin as Coruscant an immediatly transfert your HQ there, if you really want to ''fit continuity''.

I think finding out the bit of data in the dat files and editing this will be even better :wink:

 

We've already discovered so much of the game, that will be revealed as well :D

Oops, the sentence might've been formulated wrong.

 

I meant, that we've already discovered that much of the game, so finding this portion should only be a matter of time. :D

and I might add that english isn't my primary language, so i might miss a few statements here and there ... pardon me for my ... lack of ''understandings'' :lol:

 

Back on topic, is there a list somewhere where I can found what you have discovered about Rebellion's game mechanics ?

 

Oh and reviewing my map, I've notice some small mistakes, principaly on the world Zonoma Sekot, wich i've mispelled Zonoma Ze... It will be fixe in version 1.1 :wink:
