Naja Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 How would I mod it so that when a smuggler is taking credits from a planet, the enemy can't see the obvious credit-stealing sign next to the planet? I'd like the enemy to have to look around and have to keep investigating his economy in order to find my smugglers.

There's no other way to notice the credit-theft unless you memorize all the base prices for planets, and then memorize the modifiers for the number of mines you have there. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg
swgbex Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Well considering you could only use it . (and gain a profit since they cost 500 credits) on planets that you have lots of mines on.. /bespin i would notice if i was missing lets say 1.2k credits a day.. :/ But otherwize i agree with the above http://www.swgbex.com/sig.jpgHehe IA 2 venator

When you hold your mouse over the planet's income, it will show you a breakdown of how the income is calculated - including any losses to smugglers. I like the idea of having to search for smugglers.
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 6, 2006 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 6, 2006 Sounds like you would have to change the structure of the game to support different levels of information. Not receiving direct updates when you click a planet, rather what it looked like since you last spied it. (Rebellion anyone?) JaiOwl Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 There might be a simplier solution .... try editing the actual icon image for the symbol making it transparent as I'm assuming that this would only be meant for multiplayer games as the computer AI won't care about a symbol as it looks for smugglers through scripted chances of detection. Can't see symbol on the 'Galactic Map', then they would have to look for your smugglers the long way. Haven't tried it but might work as you want without the 'rewriting the whole engine part'.
