How would I go about and make a new armor type? I wanna give the stormtroopers new armor. It will be more resistant to blasters and such. I had another question but i forget rofl

I think in game constants near the middle are all the diferent types of armors and how effective each one is against each type of attack their is..

 

first you add the armor type

there should be a whole bunch of armor types already here

            Armor_New_armor_here ---------------your new armor goes here

below that will be every diferent type of attack in the game

u must add ur new armor to every single one of those :/

 

example

Damage_Nebulon_B, Armor_New_armor_here, .5

 

Damage.. =what damage type is doin the damage

and the number is a multiplyer for the damage.. so if it does 100 damage.. it will only do 50 damage to Armor_new_armor_here

Once u have all the diferent attack and defend values defined.. you may go into your unit and assign it its armor

How do change the color patterns on stormtroopers? I wanna give one group a red shoulder pad to simbolize a medic.

You would need to edit the stormtroopers skin for each individual type u want

which we cant do til mod kit

let me explain why

 

to have dif. types of strorm troopers with diferent skins you must have an ALO file for each one .. because they must all have a diferent skin DDS or TGA that skins them

U could edit the existing one.. and make lets say the snow trooper have a little red cross on their body and put it into a sandtrooper squad.. .. by editing the Snowtroopers skin.. but u can not have the same ALO file have more than one skin .. so until mod kit comes out we cant do much with the models/ skins

No i mean i just recently played a mod that makes 501 legion. It doesnt change the skin it just makes them have blue on there arms. Like in multiplayer. I wanna make a certain sqaud do that.

try addin this code to ur stormtrooper varient.

change the color to what u want..  R G B and alpha channel i think. not sure tell me if it works. i havnt checked it .. but that seems to be what it to my knowledge
