Ghostly_Substance Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 All I can say this blows Silent Hunter 3 out of the waters http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/ptboatsknightsofthesea/index.html?q=pt%20boats http://www.pt-boats.net/PT_web/pages/04n3.htm Ok I agree that SH3 is still a great game made by Ubisoft but damn does this ever challenge Silent Hunter 3 and almost gives it a run for its money. Also 1-16 people could play and who could ignore that message. Ok I shouldn't just jump in a boat once I see a great game but we did it with EAW and Civ 4 now didn't we? ;D Well if the trailers showed it was good then it should be ;D Again I shouldn't judge a book by its cover but you get to also control SHIPS SHIPS. Yes Ships and Submarines. Features:- Boats and Subs- Moving people- Air support (From trailer)- hidden docks- tons of sinkage- More to find out Their Site:http://www.pt-boats.net/ Check out the videos:http://www.pt-boats.net/PT_web/movies/PT-Boats_hi.avi and http://www.pt-boats.net/PT_web/movies/PT_Boats_E3_2004_hires.avi -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Garbageben Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Looks interesting. http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/sh/type/0/garbageben.png
Stellar_Magic Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Very interesting... though perhaps not quite as realistic as I'd hope for a WWII PT-boat simulation. Those aircraft sure got gunned down quick. The fact you can shoot up enemy sailors on the deck of the vessels looks really impressive though, and the wake effects looked perfect. Ghostly_Substance Posted April 2, 2006 Author Posted April 2, 2006 Odd, why wont the picture show above ??? Meh i'll try to make it show now. http://www.pt-boats.net/PT_web/screenshots/PT_Boats_screenshot_01.jpg and the best thing is how I like to see the little crew walking around Now who can ignore that boat Well I just found a new game (in my local Futureshop flyer) called "Red Orchestra" dealing with Russians in WW2 and Source made it. Back on topic, well at least now I get more options and get 16 players online to play online. Hopefully there would be an option to share a boat and if not then o well. I really want to see more of this game ;D -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Stellar_Magic Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 If you're into flight sims, Ubisoft's IL2: Forgotten Battles really showcases aerial combat on the eastern front. (Historically Aerial superiority on that front swung back and forth a lot more so even playing as a german you don't get torn apart immediately like in the Western Front). Ghostly_Substance Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 lol @ this thread. Has this game even come out to try and play with? -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
chip5541 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 nope! I have been signed up at the official site for over a year and their forums are pretty much dead and the devs or pub hardly ever post anything, atleast in the English forum. Funny thing is when I was at E3 in 2004 I had seen the rolling trailer at the booth but never checked it out.
