OK so in Episode 3 at the end Yoda says that Qui-Gon has found a way to immortality.  Although he is never seen after Episode 1, his voice is heard by Yoda in Episode 2 when Anakin slaughters the Tuskens.  When Yoda and Obi-Wan go into exile it can be assumed that they communicated with Qui-Gon's spirit (because Yoda told Obi-Wan how).  Now I'm guessing that the force ghosts of Obi-Wan appearing to Luke, as well as at the end of Episode 6, were the same thing (immortality) and that they chose to not appear any more after the Sith had been destroyed (temporarily anyway).  Oh yeah and Leia gets a force vision of Vader later as well.  However I could be wrong.  Any others' thoughts on this?

Well, before the prequals came out, I think the rule was "If you are a Jedi, You get a cool force ghost."

 

Then they say that Qui-gon somehow found it after like...12-15(?) years.  I can understand Yoda and Obi-wan knowing the secret, but Anakin really didn't have time to.

Anakin is a tricky one, perhaps Qui-gon talked to him to haha.

I think it's more like if they find the will to return, then they do as a Force ghost. Maybe Qui-Gon just didn't see any reason to return until after Anakin's fall...

You can only become a force ghost either through ultimate sacrifice or through devout study to the Library of the Whills.  Yoda, had unrivalled Mastery of the force so it was easy for him.  Both Obiwan, Vergere and Anakin all gave their lives to save someone else.

All right, I'll amend my question: did we just see your dark side? Just to clarify.

 

I know there's no Dark side of the Force, there's just people following their own darkness that use the Force for evil actions. Same thing with the Light side.

Have any of you seen Red Vs. Blue?  Cause that was an O'Malley impersonation.  I can also do a pretty good  O'Malley impersonation in RL.  That's what that whole thing was.
