keraunos Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Currently I'm tired with winning with Imperials all the time , so I decided to move to the Rebels. Currently I'm playing the mission with Solo and Chewie on Carida. I think I know how to do it, I tried several times but failed. The problems here are my mods. They unbalance things so heroes are to weak to survive. I simply want to pass this mission and don't mess too much with code. So is it possible to skip it? Or turn on god-mode for it's duration? The second option is preferable as I'd like to see what else happen there.. And I know an option for enchancing the two with 99,999 HPs. But I don't want to do it.
Mr.Caine Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Balance? ... realism http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/333Super/BESERKER.jpg
kingdark Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 i was also stuck at that mission perhaps the only solution is increasing the damage of your heroes but remember that if you want to do it you have to restart the campaign because otherwise it wont have any effect just so you know http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/0/kingdark.png
swgbex Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 u could temporarily un mod it and beat it normally..i just ran for the at at http://www.swgbex.com/sig.jpgHehe IA 2 venator

Probably I need to edit savegame or something. Pity that we don't have cheates for EaW.. Thanks for all the feedback, I'll probably try to run for AT-AT, too
Mikan Cyclone Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Currently I'm tired with winning with Imperials all the time How could you bear the thought of playing as the rebel Scum?! I wouldn't command them if you payed me 1000 credits! Also You'd have to start another campaign. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
kingdark Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 hm thats exactly what i said you can modefy something but it wont have effect in the campaign map but it will if you restart the campaign or play a galactic conquest http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/0/kingdark.png

Mikan Cyclone Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Still, by commanding a fleet of the rebels, you are now a traitor to the Empire. Be warned. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
keraunos Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Can I skip the problem by starting new galactic conquest (which would "upload" new files), then play the mission, then "upload" mods again? Or can I edit the save game? If so, where the files are located (I searched for them but failed)? I'm quite frustrated - I played this campaign quite a long time and cannot skip nor pass the mission..

Mods are uploaded from the start of the game. YOu have to start a new campaign! *evil laugh* http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif

YOu have to start a new campaign! *evil laugh* I don't have to (*very evil laught*). I finally managed to finish this mission . It was almost the end of the game.. Also, with Death Star I destroyed, make way for Grand Admiral Thrawn (alias keraunos) !! ;D

keraunos Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 I don't...I tried new mods in the middle of an unmodified campaign, and they all took effect. I didn't notice any diffrence. I gave my heroes 999999 health and they died as fast as earlier. But the problem is that I saved at the beginning of the mission, NOT before one..
VileMrrrgh Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 yes I also have dropped new mods in during the campaign and they seem to take effect with no problem at all, hell even re loaded the game with no interuption of the campaign...either congrats on passing the mission. I am dealing with solo and chewie at vergesso...playing with the total realsimv1.1 and I keep getting my butt kicked

Key is speed there - you can always escape, don't worry until Fett/Tartans fire at you.

But the problem is that I saved at the beginning of the mission, NOT before one.. I think that's it. I never leave a game at the beginning of a battle, only in between. Maybe that's why mods took effect. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg
kingdark Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 so if you save in the 'galactic map' changes should take effct? then why if i increase a planets income it wont take any effect? even when i save between missions? http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/0/kingdark.png

The latest save before that mission was before Vergesso one - so I assume you understand why I choose not to go back there
