ahhh, sounds like fun.....but I would like to make it a limit, in one of the other forums someone mentioned making a SD that was somehow in the EU, how can I make it so the Reb's can only have one ???

Well, you could make a variant (Rebel_Star_Destroyer or something) that the Empire can't build, but the rebels can after they steal it from the Empire. Then simply add 1 to the Rebel SD's xml entry, and you have a Rebel SD and you can only build one...

Anyways I have gotten the unit to be added, as that was my goal....although it deployed TIE's.(easy fix) also The single unit that I wanted did not work.  Take a look see where I messed up....

I have not updated text on it yet, I wanted to make sure the unit was working as I wanted it before I updated the text on it.

Aggh. Stupid me. Try 1 instead of the lifetime limit one. Unless you want to build it only once (ever). If you just use the Current limit, when it's destroyed you can build another one.

yes thanks I actually found that when I was looking at someones DeathStar code......but hey the help is always appreciated...Now all I have to do is make up some cool info for why the Reb's have a Star Destroyer

ok ok, one final question with this subject then it can go away.  when I made my rebel sd, which I got to only produce one...it was "Build_Limit_Lifetime_Per_Player" how do I get it to stop deploying TIEs...I added the code to make it deploy xwings and such, but it did not take effect...checked my work, everything is correct...any idea?? I will paste it for youto see.

Meh. There's a foolproof way to make it not spawn TIEs. Instead of making it a variant of Star_Destroyer, just copy Generic_Star_Destroyer's code and make the necessary changes to it so that it becomes the rebel star destroyer. Like this:

I know this error... its stupid but hey.

 

Simple fix, though.  Check and see if the Generic_Star_Destroyer has spawning fighters.  If it does cut out the code and put it in the normal Star_Destroyer code.  Now make the unit a variant of Generic_Star_Destroyer and tweak as necessary.
