I just installed patch 1.3 for Empire at War.  However, my game will not run!  I do not have any mods installed no b/c I uninstalled EVERYTHING!  it tells me to insert the regular CD not a backup (%CODE%) and gives me a link to SecuROM that tells me nothing.  WHY is this happening?  I have a retail game.  I had no problems with patch 1.2!

So you had mods installed previously, but uninstalled them to update the game eh?  Well obviously what happened is that game files were edited by whatever Mods you had, and the patch did its thing, resulting in some things being the way the game origionally wanted, and others being modified according to how the Mods wanted.

 

Aka you need to completely un-install the game and manually remove any game files/folders that remain, then do a complete re-install, with patch, and then install your Mods.

 

I reccomend you only use Mods that don't require them to be un-installed to update your game.

Ok i uninstalled EVERYTHING, including mods, saved files, all my configuration files and I'm STILL getting the error.  I dont have daemon tools or any of that hackar stuff that I am aware of so WHAT is going on?
