Saron2of4 Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I'd like to know how to make the Turbolasers Fire at Air Targets like the Victory Destroyer,X-wing,TIE etc that some of the mods make available via Land now? Does anyone know? I know you can build Anti-Air but that leads me to a new question will they target the new Air units or do they to have to have something to target them? Mr.Caine Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I asked the same question, but in the end no body cares http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/333Super/BESERKER.jpg
Mikan Cyclone Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 It's strange, because turbolaser towers can fire on and destroy airspeeders....hmmm... http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Malikovski Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I would look closely at the units that do target speeders, e.g. the AT-AA has these lines: Vehicle | AntiAir AntiAir Also gun elevation is set to 45. Have you already tried those changes?
Mr.Caine Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Can I add to this or do i have to replace it? http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/333Super/BESERKER.jpg
Saron2of4 Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Hmm I wonder if I added that and changed attack priority to land instead of air but still give it that ability to attack air units. By the way where do you find the Turbo Laser Tower Land Files? "The attack on me by the Jedi has left me physically deformed. But, my Resolve has never been Stronger"Palpatine
Mith_rawn_undo Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 *should* be in specialstructures if you mean the really big ones the smaller ones are located in groundbuildablesXXX.xml
FormulaRedline Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 For my Victory Mod I wanted to turn the turbo lasers into Anti-Air only (more like anti-ship ) so I changed the following under the Template_Ground_Turbolaser_Tower entry in Specialstructures.xml 9999 9999 1 9999 and AntiAirTurret If you want them to target more then just ground units pick a different existing target priority set (or open the cml and make your own) and change the 9999s to the priority order you want. Saron2of4 Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 What do the 9999's mean ???? Do they mean Priority of attack will never happen or will they still have a possibility of attacking those targets ???? "The attack on me by the Jedi has left me physically deformed. But, my Resolve has never been Stronger"Palpatine
DragonShadow Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 What do the 9999's mean ???? Do they mean Priority of attack will never happen or will they still have a possibility of attacking those targets ???? The higher the number in the Target Priority slot, the lower priority it is. Since Air Vehicles is 1 and Ground Infantry & Vehicles are 9999, the turret will target air units before attacking ground units. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg

The AnitAirTurret AI specifically exludes ground targets...so the AI will NEVER fire at anything besides air units. Wether or not you can do it manually with your own turrets, I'm not sure.
