MajorPayne Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I don't know if anyones released this kind of mod or given an idea of what to do, but does anyone know how to make the pirates actually expand from the planets they are given, or is this just not possible?? I've tried giving them the basic empire AI but it doesn't seem to work.

MajorPayne Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Well I added in the necessary AI line, but it doesn't seem to force them to expand from planet to planet. It also seems as though the Imperial (I tend to play rebel myself) don't seem to move, or expand very slowly.

The problem may be that the ai tries to build specific units as per its faction (rebel ai tries to build Corellian Corvettes, but the Pirate faction doesn't have them, so it doesn't do anything). usul Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I made a mod over at lucasforums that includes Pirates as playable along with rebels and imperials. The first issue is is that Pirates can't build units. Pirate bases and asteroid boses dont come prewired to build units. Also, the lack of an AI file stops expanision. Though rebels and imperials will build pirate units/ venators as they see fit if they are made available to them. In my mod imperials have venators, and they build them along with acclamators, and before that while I was getting things to work, the Rebs/Imps would use preety much everything pirates. Perhaps someone can do something. I know my mod will not handle it.
