The ONE MOD

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of great mods out there but I can't find the that has all of the best features all in one. One mod may have fighters for grounds support, another will have extra units, and another may have great unit balances, while still another may have better ground vs space battles. I have no idea how to make one of these mods myself, so could one of these great Modders create one with all of the best features.

I was just logging on to post the same question. Would it be possible to combine the great space additions/changes from SW Realism v3.0, the rebalanced and rescaled things from EAW Realism v0.30, and maybe some of the cap-ships atmospheric flight/fight mods?

In order to do that, the person who compiles the mod needs permission to use the material of other mods in the One Mod to Rule Them All. (Sorry, couldn't resist). I've PM'd someone asking for permission, and never got a response, so that alone could take a while...unless the rewrite all the mods and just use the completed ones as reference.

Well while gaining permission is a rule when it comes to etiquette, it isn't exactly nessrcary. Petroglyph and Lucasarts own the rights to EaW and any mod made using it. It's not like the modders wrote all the code and whatnot.

While I would say that getting permission is only courteous, if the mod maker can't even be bothered answering an email then just use it and give credit. It's not like what's released so far has been rocket science.
