A new mod from me? No WAI!  It feels liek a while since I've updated...  Anyway, here it is, the Shadowclaw, or to some people the Barloz-Class Freighter!  iT is used as the Imperial version of the Corellian Gunboat, and works out pretty good.  Finally a tool to get those pesky Corellian Corvettes off your back!  (note: their may be some text problems with the Encyclopedia.  They don't effect gameplay at all.

The only file I've been able to make available in skirmish is the penguin.  That's it.

Xizor would be good...and the Shadowclaw would rock against the corvettes.  So would Virago.  There's soem reasons.

Is the weapons just missles? If so how can I modify it to have Turbolasers and missles? Also how do I add a Ships Name that will actually work and givem names and how do you make the Pirate Ships and Mercenary ships buildable? Edited March 12, 2006 by Sarron2of4

I think this ship wouldfit better as a pirate unit. Definitely looks more smugglerish, it isn't sleek like an imperial unit. And it just looks old and worn out like the falcon.

 

Hope it is added as one in one of the mods.

While it certainly looks piraty, the Empire has a severe lack of units that can stand up to corvettes.  This was the prime unit that could be in that position.  So I'm keeping it as an imperial unit.  I might add some lasers to it in another patch(that hopefully unlocks the SKIRMISH mode.  BUt until then, I have to keep it as an Imp unit to deal with corvettes.

I could imagine it as Mara Jade's transport. Just needs one or two nice special features ('power to engines' + 'concentrate firepower' (as a sort of battle meditation force skill, like Palpatine and C'baoth used it)?) ...

That is why we need them to come out with the modding tools, that way we can add some of the ships that could go up aganist corvettes. Also, maybe the imps don't need to match up perfectly against every rebel unit, they have strengths in other areas.

I thought the Z-95 was from the time she worked for Karrde? I don't see why the Empire would equip one of the Hands with a heavily outdated starfighter. For some undercover ops maybe, but surely not as a personal transport.

But if you have any sources I'd be happy to be corrected. After all, no one ever stops learning.

From what I've been hearing, she uses a modified Z-95 in this timeline.  I personally don't know.

I'm pretty sure the Z-95 is only during the time she worked for Talon Karrde, but as the Emperor's Hand I doubt she used a distinctively Imperial ship, it would kill the point of her being an undercover Imperial agent.

Well, I have no idea, so unless someone can tell me what ship she had at this time, I won't even touch her.

Can't really find anything saying when she got the z-95, but it looks like she used it because it wasn't special and would be able to do covert stuff, so I think it would fit her role in EAW>

Well I need stats for it.  Special abilities, weapon strength, etc, etc.  She can't just go flying around in a NORMAL Z-95 after all.
