sithwolf Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Ok ive seen how people are doing mods for ships, changing bitys of the gameplay etc but I have seen little about modding in new monsters. are there any plans to mod in new creature, how about that big stick insect thing of episode 2 acklay i think its called.
kingdark Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 have no idea what monster you mean dude http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/0/kingdark.png
sithwolf Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 its the big 6 legs green stick insect thing, ben kenobi chops its legs off before killing it. ring any bells. or what about having that one eyes monster thing thats on ds1 that drags luke under the water.
Mikan Cyclone Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 The acklay and the Dianoga. The acklay would be a good thing to put in, the only problem is putting them on maps. They were imported to Geonosis, and only bread for arena combat. If they were a controlled unit by the Geonosians it would make sense, but to have them run wild on any map other than their homeworld, Vendaxa, would be a bad idea. You can see the dianoga in the swamps of Nal Hutta if you look close enough, but I don't think it does anything. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
DragonShadow Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I think the Dianoga might kill infantry that wander too close (like the Sarlaac), but I'm not sure. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg

Aside from seeing what we have in the film and read information about the acklay you could always get away with them escaping and breeding. Its not clear or even stated what happened to them AFTER the fall of the empire. As long as they are capable of aclimatising themselves to a planet then theres no reason why ANY creature shouldn't be made available.
Zer_Teron Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Werent they on Felucia? http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3488/zersigef1.jpg
The_talented Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 yeah the acklay were on felucia in BF2... wierd... and the dianoga was not in ep 2...... if the dianoga is that thing with one eye floating in the water..... taht was in episode 4... aboard the death star... luke gets pulled under the trashheaps by it
Mikan Cyclone Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 How they EVER got to felucia is beyond me. only possibility I see is that a ship crashed there or something, and because of the abundant wildlife, they thrived. Either that, or the Separatists set them lose. Felucia WAS a Separatist planet, after all. And yes, I have thought of them escaping and killing people. It just seems cliched for there to be a non-purposeful escape of one of the most deadly creatures in the galaxy right before your army arrives on the planet. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/loverdog/pffuserbar1.jpghttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/At-At_controller/leetspeak4cz1jr.gif
Teradyn_pff Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Heh, welcome to the Star Wars canon butchery that has ensued following the release of Return of the Jedi. If anyone wants a clear picture of what a loss of vision is, look at the Star Wars franchise. My Death Star is bigger than your Death Star!"The XML is strong with this one!"http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/0/teradyn.png
