Idea for a mod

Lots of new factions, like the hutts (maybe they should replace the pirates?), the corporate sector authority, corellia, hapes consortium and others etc. each would have it's own unique units, and some would borrow units from other factions. like the CSA would have a large number of VSDs, corellia could have some xwings etc. corellia would also have a large number of pre-clone wars battleship types, like admiral giels ship, and other star destroyer esque ships. also I wonder if it would be possibe to script it so if you capture a certain base or planet, you gain control of a unit? so say if the rebels took coruscant, could they take over a few star destroyers? or maybe some AT AT's and AT ST's?

 

Also, it would be cool if you could make a campaign only take place in a small section of the galaxy, so you wouldn't be controlling the entire empire, you would be more like an admiral assigned to hunt down a group of rebels or pirates or something. That way you might be able to expand the systems to more than one planet.

its pretty easy..  you just gotta add an AI also...  I just finished a lil mod with Planet Militias, Hutts, and Allied Pirates...  about to play so wish me luck

I think the pirates could actually be made into two pirate factions, the hutts and Black sun. Would be fun to have the two compete against each other.

Ya, black sun would be nice too. just having generic "pirates" is pretty lame, and not to mention cheesy.

Yes, all the pirates are Black Sun. Their ships even have the Black Sun insignia.

They are called black sun. But they don't remind me much of them. Their fighters look more huttish, they should be flying starvipers.
