Havoc04 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Hi fellas Well Ive been doing a bit of mucking around with scales etc, because I WAS very unhappy with the scale of some thingsespecially the AT-AT. It didn't look fearsome/or something to be feared... Unfortunatly with the DEFAULT camera that is with the game you WOULDNT be able to see the whole AT-AT, So ive been useing the custom camera someone made up and i downloaded Camera_Free.rar found at http://www.petroden.com/eaw_game_mods.shtml... Havoc04 Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 @Foshjedi it was originally 1.75... i increased to 4.00 quiet i HUGE increase but for what i was looking for 4 .00 was the magical number @Zenoth ive been playing Hoth for over 4 hours with these new sizes and the funny thing is that EACH walker RESPECTS each others space so the dont mesh or collide Like there are alotta settings in the game XML wise but i was after resizing mostly Also looking at incresing the AT-ST a little in size too so IT looks like 2 of the ground troops COULD fit in there...ATM you couldnt PAY me enough to sit in 1 LOL

I think that that type of discussion has been beaten to death but if both sides are a little reduced it'll mean longer battles and a bit of extra surviving on both sides

If you reduce the size of the troops then youre going to have to resize the turrets/buildings etc right down to the terrian on the maps. If you use the troops as a guide to rescaling the job is a lot easier

WarHawk_pff Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 4.00 is waaaay too big. If you watch ESB when Luke is running underneath the AT AT that gives you a nice sense of scale, I'd say 3.00 would be more like it.

If you look at the New scale pic and compare the troopers to the feet youll see that the scale is about right And i havent EVEN done the AT-ST that last new scale pic with a close up of the troopers and the AT-ST is sooo outta whack its not funny LOL
WarHawk_pff Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I tried 4.00 as well, that's why I posted that it was too big, the troops just look way too small rapelling down those ropes, didn't look like the same size as luke at all. I guess someone is going to have to measure how large the AT AT is compared to luke from the films and apply that to the game.
