darksier Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 I'm playing multiplayer galactic conquest with v1.2 and I've found a bug with the death star. When there is any imperial hero (emperor, fleet commander, or tarkin) on board the death star, the game will not allow an alliance victory (it thinks the heroes are active combatents in the tactical fight). I've repeated this situation many times now and I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. The bug is pretty serious, it won't let red group destroy the death star. It also means the alliance is forced to withdrawal. We've "fixed" the problem by playing by an honor system of not putting heroes on the death star but I feel it shouldn't have to be this way. Any fixes or mods to address this problem?
Teradyn_pff Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I think a big problem is how the auto-assigning of passengers is handled. Why would you have 30 fleet commanders on one ship? There is some very big design holes in this game. My Death Star is bigger than your Death Star!"The XML is strong with this one!"http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/0/teradyn.png
Naja Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Damn these sloppy promoters, and equally damn these apologist devs...

Baron_Fel Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Yes the fleet commander thing is a problem and I am glad a fix is coming, but what you said isnt a bug.I dont know about the emperor or a commander, but I had Tarkin on-board the death star just the other day playing a campaign with ven. And guess what? He blew it up! :'( It might be a prob w/emperor or commanders, but tarkin doesnt prevent the ds from dieing. Venrai Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Yes tarkin doesn't do anything and why would the emperor be in a fleet? Yeah Baron looked for red squadron all the game i hid it in a nebula because i SUSPECTEd he'd go right for it unhororably, and guess what HE DID!!! so yeah i watched his victories go by the nebulas and ties on hunting missions but nope no squadron for them, then by the time the station was dead i hunted them all down, and the DS died ; P Person B: Wheres the Emperor, anyway?Person A: The Emperor is currently at Nal Hutta.Person B: I don't think he'd be at Nal Hutta it has a swamp.Person A: Whats wrong with a swamp?Person B: Well its the Emperor, he would never touch a swamp as hes well the Emperor.Person A: Your right...Person B: Instead he'd make a super weapon to destroy the swamp, it'd probably be called the Plunginator!!!!Person A: Huh?Person B: Lol....

He can use battle meditation, it's fun to lead massive fleets to battle. What better reason do you need? He's a Sith Lord, I think he'd rather watch some enemies blow up than deal with bureaucrats on Coruscant. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg
