Warlord Mod (Question)

Hi all.

 

I've been reading the forums since only a few minutes, and just discovered the Warlord Mod.

 

I got a question about it ...

 

Is it compatible with the final game ?

 

I'm asking, because all the links I have seen say "Warlord Mod Demo", or similar titles all with "Demo" in them.

 

If there is a version compatible with the final/Gold game, then which version do I need to get ? And where is the appropriate download link ?

 

I'm sorry if I missed something obvious, but I'm just a bit mixed-up right now.

Ok.

 

But is version 6.9.2 an update to 6.0 ? In other words do I need to install 6.0 before 6.9.2 so it works properly ? Just want to make sure, to avoid reporting useless issues because I missed something important during the installation process.

Ok but I noticed that version 6.0 contains a lot more files. Am I going to miss anything from 6.0 if I only install 6.9.2 ? Files like the "Ai" folder, and many .XML files, for example.

 

Sorry ... it was my last question.

 

I'll go install 6.9.2 now. But please answer, I'd like to know for sure.

 

EDIT: Nerver mind, I tried it with 6.0 files and it crashed. So, only 6.9.2 indeed. Thanks again.

Don't need the AI folder and such. That was meant to replace the practically nonexistant AI in the demo with an AI that did something...those files aren't needed with the full game.

6.0 was designed for the Demo - 6.9.2 for the full version since I needed to play the game with Warlord 6.0 stats but not Zaarin and such. So it bascally a quick fix. The only recomandation I will make to it (6.9.2) is to change the speed of the Y-wing from 2.0/2.0 to 2.5/2.5 yeah but this is just a minor tune. Anyway slow bombers don't make such on impact on the battlefield.

6.9.1 is old - scroll down and you will get 6.9.2 thats more updated.

 

I can insert Zaarion in 4-5 hours max since I have the feedback from WTME 6.0 but ... I want us to finish the GMB Mod - so I will be able to addapt WTME 7.0 on it. We also need the new polished map for 7.0 from dw333 (just got that).

 

So anyway maybe in 4-5 days you will get 7.0 and get to see your friend Zaarin in it :)

Ooops!

6.9.2 dowloaded.

 

I have looked for some kind of database with hard numbers of basic stats of units (land&space) of EAW, but it seems that the only way is looking into the files (and i'm a lazy plain user :P). Maybe someone has done a table with all these stats (health, shield, damage, accuracy vs each type, something like that).

Hi Cain,

 

I see you are the creator of the Warlord Mod.

 

Can you tell me if your mod (as of version 6.9.2) is compatible with the Skirmish mode ?

 

I am asking because I tried it last night after downloading and installing it properly, and upon starting I had no units to chose from at all. The spaces where units are shown you know, well, completely empty.

 

I'll be back home in a few moments and I'll simply try to re-install, just in case. But I wanted to be sure, is it actually compatible in the first place ?

At this time I am only have only test it in SP. maybe someone can give a hand and help with the Skirmish mode - my modding time is limitated this days.
