Vanished, lost fleets and/or heroes if placed on specific slots?

Some of our forum users at cncforen.de are reporting that they lost a hero or fleet completely - means that the icon on the right top is gone and the hero won't show up ever again (if a hero is affected).

It seems to happen when a fleet or hero is placed on a specific slot of a planetary orbit.

Saving immediately and reloading this savegame appears to solve the problem but it appears to be a bug, as the slots sometimes are acting as a black hole.

In this shot, the right slot on Hoth seems to be the one but there are reports for other planets as well.

confirmed.

I lost Veers and Vader and any other unit i put on the "black hole" slot (the middle orbit slot above Sullust).

Unfortunately, i had saved already after i noticed him missing. The heroes and other lost units did not reappear in the slot after the reload. But i noticed that the slot was functioning properly thereafter.

 

In my game the "black hole" occurred on "A new weapon of war" mission before escorting Veers to demo the AT-AT, I took him into battle at Sullest to wipe out some rebel scum  . After I won the  battle I zoomed out to galatic view but he was gone, placing other units on the slot made them disappear also.

 

 

 

edit: Black hole happened again with Veer (after the AT-AT tutorial) after a winning land battle at Eriadu (sp), I put Veers back into fleet2 position in orbit. He disappered  >

I've had it happen on the GC 'Closing on coruscant'. I attacked coruscant and the empires land space was just like that.

I have same problem: i lost RD-D2 in the "black hole" and i have no idea how to back it (overwrited all save slots already ). The main problem is that i cant steal new tehnology any more  :'(

Details: Ive lost hero (rd-d2) in land battle and after battle i got black hole slot.

 

Please fix that in new patch.  :

I also faced the same problem in the Rebel Campaign. If I put any unit in the slot they would disapear completely. And it looked just as your screenshot shows. Quite a significant bug, if you ask me.

Just think of it like a ship malfunctioned or got lost in hyperspace. ;D
