Okay... for a start we're going to need to make models for all the new structures that we'll need for the new technology tree...

 

Imperial Political Structures:

Tier 1: Planetary Governor's Mansion

Tier 2: System Governor's Palace

Tier 3: Sector Moff's Palace

Tier 4: Grand Moff's Palace

Tier 5: Royal Palace

 

Imperial Stormtrooper Recruitment:

Tier 1: Stormtrooper Recruitment Center

Tier 2: Stormtrooper Barracks *In-Game Already

Tier 3: Stormtrooper Blaster Range

Tier 4: Stormtrooper Obstacle Course

Tier 5: Stormtrooper Holo-Training Center

 

Imperial Vehicle Training:

Tier 1: Imperial Crew Recruitment Center

Tier 2: Imperial Vehicle Park

Tier 3: Imperial Vehicle Firing Range

Tier 4: Imperial Vehicle Training Course

Tier 5: Imperial Vehicle Simulation Center

 

Power Structures:

Tier 1: Power Core

Tier 2: Power Generator *In-Game Already

Tier 3: Power Station

Tier 4: Solar Ionization Reactor

Tier 5: Hypermatter Reactor

 

Trade Structures:

Tier 1: Air Control Tower

Tier 2: Open Landing Field

meanwhile im workin on something just for fun.. something that i think should be in game. u guys might agree

but i can start doin gen cores 1 and 2 since i know what they look like.. thanks rebellion :D

Well the Comar SLD-20 is a theoretical Shield Generator...  The Comar SLD-26 was what the Empire deployed on Endor.  I'm afraid this is an incomplete list as well.  I'm hoping to use the ship models from EvilleJedi's Warlords mod... If you haven't seen them they're awesome.  We'll have to modify them for the EAW engine but even so it'll save us time.

yeah ive played both the clone wars mod and the warlords mod

but are u exactly sure of that.. seems like they were high poly like.... i think he even admitted it in the forums once..

 

It caused warlords to lag in big battles ...

as far as the models go.. they are awsome and it would save lots of time

but we definately need to look at the poly counts

The current models used in EAW are actually pretty high poly... if you consider all the seperate polygons in each hardpoint and all.  Still they're not as high poly as the Warlords models, but the Warlords model poly count can be cut pretty significantly simple by removing all the individual gun barrels that are stuck all over his ships.

thats true... the rebel super capital ship.. dont remember what its called.. has about 1000 little gun orbs.. that are floating outside the ship.. i guess they were supposed to be on the ship and give it the mon cal look..but on mine they are just. outside the ship.. outside the hull.. im sure that would reduce the poly count

You don't need the wires on the dish... They don't really look right anyway.

WEll the model i did was acceptable for generals.. so im assuming this game will take it.

 

im not exactly sure how much EAW will be but there is a forum where they said what an ISD was

Okay... arise.

 

Some members of the forum have detected a means by which to edit existing models... Yeah! (I actually have done some things on this.)

 

Now lets get to work making different versions of the units in the game already.  It's time to start skinning people!

You can create a copy of the model and you can change the texture it uses through hex editing.

lol nice.. i suggested we tried that in another forum.. didnt think it would work 100% but ok ill try ill have an update tomorow hopefully
