Holy crap! I saw the gibberish at the top the first time I tried that and didn't give it a second glance. But I tried a second time, and found out that all the information in the xml files is in the meg file and can be edited with notepad without extracting anything. I'm going to try that right now...

Side note though, I would have sworn that the meg files in the demo couldn't be changed...maybe they re-coded it to be compatible with notepad...

DARN!!!

Just tried it (changed only a few things) and it just caused an exception...how are we supposed to edit the full game? Nothing that worked in the demo works here...

The Dos extractor works just fine for extracting the XML's just drag and drop, its that easy.

So you guys don't have to use the search tool, http://xfer.lfnetwork.com/lucasfiles.com/downloads/1215/Kaelics_MEG_Extractor.zip .

What are the requirements for the extractor? It doesn't work when I try it. Period. It just gives me some error message. Does it need DOS? Because their's no DOS component in WIndows XP.

I get:

No file found, please pass the filename at the first argument eg. MEGExtractor.exe C:\foo\bar.meg

Press any key to continue . . .

1. What do I do?

2. What does it meen?

3. If I press any key it closes!

4. If I drag a Meg on it it closes!

put it in your data folder. run it. type config than hit enter. hit any key to close once it finishes extracting. you will have to move all the files into proper directories though, they are put into a folder with the name of whatever file they came out of.

Actually, if I press anything, ANYTHING, it closes! Anyway, I found out, I right clicked on Config.Meg and open with... Kaelik's Meg Extractor. Bwooya! Extracting, Extracting, Complete!
