You know. Looking over the files theres not much difference between the XMLs from the demo and the full version. My suggestion woul dbe to check something like the first mod that enables the ship and then compare the data to the coresponding version and seen whats been changed.

I have extracted some of the XML files manually for the .meg files (Config) if you need a certain i can try and extract it for you, other than that it seems we just have to wait.

Files i have are:

What do you mean when you say 'manually'? You didn't use one of the extractors or something? That's wht I used...

My dos extractor isnt working, it just wont understand the command lines im putting IE program files\ lucasrts\ etc etc

 

i opened the meg file in a editing programe then copied all the xml stuff for seperate files and compiled them that way. but for the life of me i can find space unit build times and costs but not lad units like vehicles and infantry. but as for the dos thing, it just wont work for me.

Perhaps this might help. Its not perfect, as I'm still learning the XML files. However, thanks to Bryants mod I figured out the right sections to copy over and now both Empire and Rebel have the Venator enabled for the full game. Only problem is I've been trying to get the Rebels to have a slightly different version (enhanced stats for my own personal usage), and unfortunately thats why theres two versions in the rebels menu.

 

Just drop the XML file from this zip into a subfolder named "XML" which is to be placed as follows:

 

GameData/Data/XML

 

You can play with it as much as you like and if you manage to get two versions for either side then please let me know how (unless I figure it out in the meantime).

Correction, it doesn't work on my desktop. Works on my laptop now though...does it need the WinXP service pack 2? My desktop doesn't have that (network card shot, so no internet access).

 

EDIT: Okay, freakin' wierd. Now it works on my desktop too. I'm happy about that, but still wierd...the copy I had before must have been corrupted.

MajorPayne, I think I figured out why the rebs have two options. The Jedi_Cruiser_R is set to rebels (like normal) but the base Jedi_Cruiser is set to Rebels and Pirates, and since it's enabled the rebels can pick from the two. If you set the standard Jed_Cruiser to just Pirates (or Pirates, Empire or just Empire, whatever) that should fix it. I'll try it right now and tell you if it works.

Yeah. I just found that out. I'll keep trying. Since getting the Venator on only the Imperial side is critical to my modding, I'll just keep trying stuff. Eventually, you get lucky...

AND I GET LUCKY! I fixed your problem. It's actually a simple fix (thank God). Just change for the Jedi_Cruiser (not _R, _E, or _P) to Yes and the Rebels only get the option to build Jedi_Cruiser_R. Glad to help.

Long time lurker, first time poster, big fan of the Venator.  I apologize if this question seems silly but I honestly don't know how these mods work.  Been doing some research like crazy here and in Lucas Forums.  Saw this thread, downloaded the ZIP file from MajorPayne's post, created a folder called "XML" in GameData/Data/ and placed the XML file there.  I loaded up the Skirmish battle, one as the Rebels and another one as the Empire, went up all the way to Level Five for the space stations but no Venator.  Did I miss a step somewhere?  I haven't tried the Galactic mode and main campaign yet but can someone please clarify where, when and how to access the Venator(from that ZIP file in Major Payne's post)?
