Megajames, that should convince you! Also, you shouldn't start judging a game that you don't even have. You can't do a pro/con list when you don't have the game. I don't have the game, so I am not posting a pro/con list. It's not that I don't want to get it, the problem is I am going through a really tough family time right now: both grandmas are in the hospital. Don't have much time for games. :'(

the 1.2 patch that was released today certainly helped alot MP wise. EaW is looking to have a bright future online now.

at the moment it was a waste of money as mp doesnt work for me at all it just hangs at forming connections and goes no further its just really frustrating

Look at the chat in the game , 80% of players are not able to connect .

Most cant play online , i only play mp .

If you don't like single player, that's really sad, lucienskywalker. It is not a "crappy" product. Have you made sure that your computer doesn't have firewalls on it? It could be your fault that multiplayer won't work. Guys, please stop bashing and flaming the game. I know that many people were super mad when they heard that the release date was being delayed by a week or two. I don't even want to know what would've happened if they would've delayed it more. People were complaining about the demo release too. Now it is here and you complain that they should've delayed it more...some people are too hard to please.

First of all , im able to play online but only with a few ppl .

Second of all , If i think its a crappy prodcut , im free to say so . We are not under Hitler regime .

Third , why cant you admit that most ppl cant play MP as we speak?

Its not our config , or firewall , its the game .

hey i really like this game yes multiplayer dosent work that well but Ive played a few multiplayer and it was great I'm sorry alot of u cant play online but they will fix it in time and when they do everyone will See what a awsome game this is.

If you was reading correctly what im saying maybe you could understand .

I said the game was unfinish and crappy because the MP IS NOT WORKING FOR MOST PPL .

I dint said the game was not fun when we can play MP .

But most of the time we cant play because the game is not working for most of players .

If i host a 4 player server , its never gonna work .

If i want to make it working , i need to find player that are able to play . And only a few can .

The full game is dumbed down beyond belief. There is very little (if any) real depth in the galactic map, and hardly any in tactical either.

The AI is absolutely horrid. It has no grasp of what makes a successful fleet, nor does it grasp the basics of tactical hero management. (How hard is it to program the hero AI to park next to a repair/bacta tank when defending? Seriously?)

The mod support is not all that its cracked up to be unless Petroglyph decides to release some heavy duty mod tools. I'm sorry, but some editable XML and LUA hardly warrants the game to be marketed as the messiah of modding. A game made for modding? Look at Unreal and Half-Life.

All in all, a disappointing start, but there is some hope. It all revolves around what move Petroglyph decides to make. As it stands, I can't recommend it to my friends.

EAW is worth getting since patch 1.1 and 1.2 both combined helped the game out. 2 patches in 2 days shows support unlike Lionhead and EA who made Black and White 2. Be happy Petroglyph is supporting their product unlike someone I mentioned ;D Well I can host games and join them thanks to patch 1.2 and its great but the only thing bugging me now is the pop cap but I can deal with it.

Also having developers play games with the players also shows support but before 1.2 I had one but couldn't make a game but now I have 1.2 I still have yet to play against a dev . Well I saw this with EA with 1942 but it was just once I ever saw em online and I had to hunt down to play with a EA dev. Well i'm not saying Petroglyph is perfect just becaues i'm an admin but i'm saying that their support is what other game designers should be like .

Now can Petroglyph turn the captured screenshots in bitmap format please? ;D

Also megajames, some peaple say it´s worth getting, other say that is a waste of money, everyone has his different opinion, so just play the game somewhere, and YOU decide if buy it or not, for me the game is great, of course it has some things I don´t like, but the game itself it´s good, don´t let other peaple decide for you, and something I have to say is that for those who just say the bad aspects of the game, try not to say them everytime you speak of the game...
