Is SWG worth buying ???

Hi I was just wondering whether to get SWG, and thought I would ask your opinions on the game.

Depends. Is the new combat system vastly improved over the original? I hated the original so much I sold the game to a friend for five bucks...

Well, the NGE has definitely changed the game.  Personally, I don't like it.

 

It went from a very open-ended game (some say TOO open-ended) to a game

where every Bounty Hunter is just like every other Bounty Hunter... The "teacher's pet"

of the game is the Jedi .. they have items in every patch, whereas the Trader class

has been mostly ignored.

 

The Economy is at a very weak state at the moment. (Probably because of their lack of

attention to Traders and that items no longer decay)

 

I'd give it another 6 months or so ...

they took the 20+ professions and mashed em together to 9 core ones

 

jedi,bh,smuggler (who cant smuggle), spy, etc.

 

boring

 

even before nge it was a boring grindfest.

It has been estimated that the game post NGE only makes about $150,000 a month, this is compared to WOW who makes millions a month. So yea 6 months sounds right.
