is the Media Worse?

I live in  England, so we have different news chanels

& we had CNN

but since the 2nd Gulf War its been like pro-bush

there wasn't even neutral news

FOX News is the worst News Network in the United States of America!  You may talk about liberal media and all but CNN is the closest to neutral you get in the United States, while some of their reporters lean slightly left others on CNN lean slightly right (Lou Dobbs for Example).

 

The "Fair and Balanced" News Network isn't a news network at all, instead I'd have to say that FOX is more of a mouth piece for the Republican Party.  They make absolutely no effort to remove their bias from the news so instead of getting "news" we get commentary.  Statistically FOX news vewiers are the worst informed segment of the population.

 

Sure the media want people to go to them... THEY'RE A BUSINESS AFTER ALL! They need to make money, and they do make money... from advertising.  If people stopped watching them they wouldn't make money.

Well seeing as how I know someone who has been brainwashed CNN it is a bigger tool then Fox News is. Yes Fox news is almost on par but anything american you will see lean to pro-america, anti-criminals, pro-politics, anti riots. I got annoyed at how pointless CNN news is and hate how people I know got brainwashed by those stupid news. It basically tells people "Oh america is great worship us and you will be our minions".

 

Well if I wanted to listen to news then I would check out European news since I trust the Euro's more but if they start being bias because of americans then I have nobody else to trust. As you can tell I dont even trust American politics nor the news but I can trust the people in some areas. Well........All media is bias its just which one is the less bias and more truthful that i'm lookin for.

Every news station news part is fairly moderate.  It's the talk shows they host that they try to pass off as news that make them left/right.  This applies very greatly to Fox.  When they are showing news, it's the same moderate stuff that everyone shows.  When they make opinions about stuff, it becomes very rightish (I personally don't think they are nearly as right-winged as a lot of people make them out to be, they just seem really out of place with the traditional left-wing media).  O'Rielly is a strong example of this.

 

My choices/preferences: print newspapers, google news, BBC's online site, and then CNN [in that order].  I personally love USA Today, and my formally local newspaper, the Columbus Dispatch.  The AP does a fairly good job being neutral.  I also use google news to find articles showing virtually every possible take on a situation.  Then if I'm on Firefox, I use the BBC's feed to find new stuff.  Then, should I find myself watching TV (doesn't happen very often), I will watch CNN.  I can't say I have ever noticed a ' "Oh america is great worship us and you will be our minions". ' views coming out of any channel.  But then again, I live in the US.

Every news channel showed 9/11 and people didn't know what to do then the media said "It was a terrorist attack and those terrorists are from Iraq"

 

Then people get upset after they've been told who was the enemy and believe everything. Then we got this pointless war for oil  :-\ Since I only watched CNN that pathetic day I blame CNN. Well you see the "Worship the great america" feeling when you hear people say "God Bless America" or see something totally American and people go "thank god we did that and then go on the specs blah blah blah".

 

Cant come up with more examples at the moment but if I do I will edit in. I meant no offence and if you want to vent just pm me where nobody will get infected  ;D

all media is as bad as each other i was reading an article in a newpaper i think it was the Sun and in one of the articles a guy was saying about how the beating civilians by soldiers is stupid for convicting them 'the were only having fun' and that Britian's are isthe Greatest in the world.
