Story Issue in EaW (Pretty Tricky)

I was thinking today about the actual story of EaW and  I thought of something most peculiar. I wonder if even the Petro devs thought of this....

 

You know how Red Squadron and, R2D2 and C3-PO are seperated as heroes? Well guess who Lukes trusty droid companion is... R2D2! So I guess they can use the excuse that Luke has anouther little droid, but I do know as we all that Artoo is on Luke's Xwing when he destroys the death star. But how can this happen if, say, him and C3PO are half way across the galaxy? See what I mean? So technically R2 is in two places at once. Intereasting, no?

Very good point, but really what does R2D2 to help luke blow up the death star that another droid could not do

Luke and artoo are ...close in the movies dont know wich one (when they blow the death star op) they ask if he wants to have a newer undamaged droid? and he anwsers no we been trough too much for that i want to take him!

Also, you need to trust your droid... i would say, that luke lookes at the twoo droids as his friends

Exactly, but the problem here is Luke has Artoo inside his X-Wing. But this cant be possible in EaW because Artoo and 3Po are their own hero unit. So they are seperated.

Maybe they made a robot clone of R2D2?

maybe, you can merge the two units into1? otherwise, it is such a small and uninportant detail

zoom very far into your x-wings, see if they even have droids in them

Yep, we thought of this... the Rebel story campaign takes this into account...
