I wonder if even the Petro devs thought of this.... You know how Red Squadron and, R2D2 and C3-PO are seperated as heroes? Well guess who Lukes trusty droid companion is... R2D2! So I guess they can use the excuse that Luke has anouther little droid, but I do know as we all that Artoo is on Luke's Xwing when he destroys the death star. But how can this happen if, say, him and C3PO are half way across the galaxy? See what I mean? So technically R2 is in two places at once. But this cant be possible in EaW because Artoo and 3Po are their own hero unit.
