I had this battle yesterday. i had 2 capital ships and a few star destroyers in battle and in reserve. i was playing as empire

the rebels had home one and around 20 Ysquads. now, i LOST that battle... i want to increase the accuracy my bigger ships have of the empire. it just isnt logical when the computer sends its Y-wing first and my bigger ships get heavely damaged without doing much damage themselves

---

I tried something out a few days ago. i increased the speed of some fighters big time, the poblem was that when they fired, the laser was ehm a bit late... they fired and they flew pass their laser...

I thought that fighters should be much faster as bigger ships and should be able to do bombing runs much faster

---

I tried too look for it but i want to find/edit 2 things. The amount of pop you can have at start (edit it with the planets you own?)

and i want more units on ground battles i have no idea how to change that unless you give all the ground units 0 cap so they wont count as op at all.

---

is it possible to let them autorepair something? for example, you play with home one, and its engines are destroyed, it is at the back of the map and the rest of your fleet is figting at the front, should it no be possible for home one to repair their engines? i mean c'mon!

--

i am still not done yet

dont you think all of the bigger ships should be able to use the special power like all power to engine or weapons? i know that they did not use that for balance but still...

well thats it for now :P

Very easy ;) Extract Config.meg

Then, the pop limit for ground battle is in GameConstants.xml, Population Limit has to be edited in Planets.xml. To modify Space Battles pop limit, you have to modify Factions.xml.

You can mod your weapon hardpoints by adding this:

Fighter, 10.0

Bomber, 10.0

Transport, 1.0

Corvette, 1.0

Frigate, 1.0

Capital, 1.0

And bingo - or instead of editing your hardpoint xml it may work directly on your capital xml by adding this:

                          Fighter, 3.0

Bomber, 3.0

Transport, 1.0

etc...

This line I think it helps too:

50.0

The Z Adjust is something I wouldn't edit at all in space battles.  It tells the game just how far above or below the Z plane a unit should aim, it doesn't seem to do anything in space combat, but if you edit the scale in land combat, you'll need to to change the value.

No...

I've said what you have to do, and in which files the codes is.

I'm going to write it here, wait.

EDIT1= More ships in battle. Open Factions.xml, then look for 25 and just change the value.

EDIT2= I can't find where we can change the Pop cap on land battle anymore! I'm sure I saw it!

=> I think that it's divided between different reinforcement points ;)
