Well i've been thinking if I am the only one that keeps on suggesting a more then 2 faction multiplayer to play with in Campaign or if I forgot other people have also. Well even if it is set and could be difficult to fiddle around with its still possible right? Cain was able to use it in the demo so theres a big chance it would be possible in the full game. Also the game is very moddable right? Well now if we could have 3 or more and mor planets imagine the party  ;D Oh and Can't forget the AI but that take longer to figure out right? Its worth it

i was thinking about this a lot

.. i say .. its possible.. but .. sitting through a battle because ur in it. .might not be so fun :/

 

We could make it like skirmish multiplayer.. where both sides controll everything but with independant units.. er.. w/e.

and on gallactic maybe allied.. but diferent stuff build ques ect..

i could see melee gallactic mode also

 

but taht would definately require sitting out..for someone..

I would also like to see a 2+ same faction galactic conquest, where you can be on the same faction and fight other players on the other factions. So you could build up your own forces and your friend could build up his forces.  You could then have them converge and divide and conquer.

I also would like to see a multiplayer galactic game be able to be played 2v2 or 3v3 or 4v4.... I also would like to see a third faction be playable at the same time in a 1v1v1 game.  This one would be the hardest to do though.

A 2v2 Campaign would be really great IMO. A third Playable faction for the galactic conquest wouldnt be that bad. But I still wtick with the 2 main forces.....2 players controlling empire and 2 players controlling rebellion on a galactic campaign would be rather fun. But since the game is very modable....why not...lets hope.

The problem with any of these ideas is that the engine has to support the data transfer between all of these players and if that doesn't work, then no go.  There have been discussions about how to deal with all of the issues more than 2 people on a side would cause in the galactic MP, but nothing can be known unless the devs tell us or we find out with the release version.

Well they should have seen this coming in the first Q&A maybe since we asked it and they could have delivered on a soft-coded file.
