First Strike is a Star Wars based mod for Battlefield 2. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. I've heard of a game that is like Battlefield 2, except Star Wars and it isn't a mod!!! It's called Star Wars: Battlefront 2!!! Isn't that sweet? ;D Ever heard of the game?

Thats a joke, right? Battlefront 2 is probably the most casual game I have ever played. It is not even good. Some casual games are actually fun. Battlefront, however, is a different story. It could have come out 2 years ago, has no physics to speak of, and is totally ignorent of SW lore. Seriously, that was a joke, right? If not, you really have to play some more FPS's or even third person shooters.

My clan and I anxiously await the release of this mod this March! We play both games religiously, but Battlefront 2 leaves much to be desired. This will give us a different perspective on what Battlefront 2 should have been. Don't get me wrong, I love my Battlefront, but there was a lot lacking from that experience and this mod will hopefully fill in those gaps. 8)

This draws a little on the old Galactic Conquest mod for Battlefield 1942.

 

And if I may say so, is one of the best mods to ever be released.

I like battlefront 1 more than battlefront 2 strangely enough, for some odd reason the physics is way better in BF1 and the AI is perhaps dummer in bf2

Ouch....that hurts. Obviously you don't know me very well. I was just making a joke on the first one, and then trying to get back on track with the second one. Anywho....that looks like one sweet mod!!! If I had Battlefield 2 I'd definately get it....maybe I will get Battlefield 2....hmmm.....

It didn't get Game of the Year for nothing pal! ;D Trust me, you'll be very addicted just trying to get all of your weapons unlocks and a few ranks under your belt! Just be sure you have a powerful enough PC first, cause the game is VERY demanding on your system resources. But hey, my computer crashes every 45 minutes or so playing it and I still can't put it down!! ;D ;D
