Takes place during ancient human times. This should be interesting  : Whats your thoughts? It may fail like SWG or rise up along the ranks of Guild Wars and WoW.

Think of it this way, its an interesting concept..although I'd rather set it in the here and now, and have you go fighting and stuff..but this still means tons of places to go explore through the network, tons of dangers in multiple places and the ability to expand. Now if they have a fucked up combat system like say...SWG then its another story.

It's possible that the description is just misworded... If you think about it, a lot of the different worlds SG-1 visited were similar to different times in Earth's past. So they game may take place now and they're just saying you'll be able to travel to worlds where it seems like old Earth?
