Yes, this is hands-on with a full beta version, not demo! Gamecloud had a good chance to testing beta version of Empire at War:

Now publisher LucasArts is making another bid for a RTS game with Star Wars: Empire at War, the debut title from Las Vegas based developer Petroglyph (made up largely of former Westwood and EA team members who worked on the Command and Conquer franchise). Gamecloud received a full beta version of the final game to try out for ourselves."
