Gamecloud had a good chance to testing beta version of Empire at War: "Strategy games and the Star Wars franchise should go together like peanut butter and jelly but in the past trying to make strategy games based on George Lucas"s universe have ranged from the just average (Galactic Battlegrounds) to the mediocre (Rebellion) to the just plain awful (Force Commander). Now publisher LucasArts is making another bid for a RTS game with Star Wars: Empire at War, the debut title from Las Vegas based developer Petroglyph (made up largely of former Westwood and EA team members who worked on the Command and Conquer franchise).
