Hero interaction

Here's something interesting I just thought of... With elite Hero units like Darth Vader and Kenobi. How on earth is the decision made to who wins when these 2 mammoths collide in a tactical land battle? Is the battle just fought out like nornal RTS games and whoever strikes the first blow eventually wins, or will the Heroes have attack and defense areas like the larger ships? What I mean by that is it like Black & White when the creatures fight, can you click certain areas on the enemy and your own hero to attack and defend?  ???

There is some information in the XML files that indicate there is a bit of chance built in.  It also treats these battles as separate, unique events.

Well, from the alpha/Early Beta Version video seen on Gamespot (Official Movie 1 -dated 19th May 2005), Vader and Obi Wan just engaged in standard attack mode in the thick of battle, but had some cool unit animations. Vader took many hits before fighting obi wan but Vader still won. Yet the player just let the lightsaber battle play out itself.

 

This is OK, if a bit basic for Hero to Hero interaction. I just wondered with all the development that has gone on in the 8 months since this gameplay was captured, whether or not things had changed at all?

Force Crush? Lol i dob't think he can use force crush on humans...The force crush is to be used on turrents, enemy vehicles etc.  I don't think you can break a human or blow them up using force crush.  :
