I have noticed quite a few screenshots going about with pics of these ships in them. I know the Venator is not supposed to be "in-game" but noticed some mods had them in it. So my question is are any of these ships actually in the game without mods and what are their roles, i.e. are Z95s buildable, are V-Wings only pirate ships, etc.? I know the Venator was said to not be in-game but then heard it was a pirate ship but mostly I figured it was simply put it because it's file was still in the game. In the full version venators will probably be in use by pirates. It was built on the 17th of December, so they may have removed the Venator by this time totally. If you check the XML the ship was supposed to be both a rebel and empire ship. Modders just made it mainly for pirates. The leader of Black Sun, Prince Xizor was the one who master minded the trap set for the Rebels at Endor. He told his entire plan to the Emperor, and the Emperor put it into action. Xizor did this because he wanted to take Darth Vader's place at the emperor's side, Huge rivalry between the two. Taken from Wikipedia: Black Sun is a fictional crime syndicate in the Star Wars galaxy. It was introduced in Shadows of the Empire, which featured the syndicate's de facto head, Prince Xizor, as its main villain. Since then, Black Sun has appeared in numerous Star Wars works. The last few days I've seen plenty of screenshots with the Venator in it, are these all from a demo mod or from the official demo? And will the Venator be left in the game or is this just speculation. (It would make sense for it to be there, but not be produced, since the production of the class seemed to stop as the CW ended.) They were doing some serious damage to the enemy. But in this game, they can hardly stand up to anything. Yes they are outdated, but come on. at least give them a proton torp launcher or somthing. But I prefer Quality over quantity. An ISD only has 4 turbolaser batteries. The reduced shield thing would help, but having more firepower than an ISD really wouldnt be realistic. I dont know the specs of the venator, but I dont thing it is anything near the size of an ISD or a mon cal crusier. If the Venator is indeed as weak as you demo mod players say, why can the Acclamators even challenge Nebulon Bs? The Acclamator is even older than the Venator, so why isn't it extremely weak? This is just outright idiotic to me. One or 2 nebulons could definetly destroy the acclamator.I have no idea why Petro removed teh Venator, but I bet it will have some role in the game, from campain or skirmish or pirates. Due to the thousands of years of technological stagnation in the SW galaxy, ships of an equal purpose 20 years apart won't be that much different when pitted against one another. Besides, the Nebulon-B is a frigate aimed at anti-starfighter combat and is armed accordingly. The Acclamator is over twice its length, is alot bulkier, can perform BDZ operations and face other capital ships in combat. It therefore has much heavier armament. I think an issue of SW:Republic had one Acc holding its own against five Dreadnaught-class cruisers, so it's no pushover.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
