Delphi-PG Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) Hi Guys, It truly is amazing what the modders have done and hopefully shows the community how easy it is to customize EAW. With that said, I’ve received e-mails from fans asking “what is left?” There are concerns that much of the game has been revealed. Our answer: You’ve only scratched the surface. The maps used in the demo are just the tutorial maps and do not reflect the designs found in the full product. Also, there are events and story elements in the full product you currently are not experiencing from an altered version of the demo. I’m not saying “stop playing the mods.” I just want to make sure you guys know that there is plenty left to see and experience in the full game. Thanks guys! ;D **Any webmasters who may read this, you are welcome to post this message. Edited March 7, 2006 by Cain Delphi-PGGame Designer/Community Rephttp://www.petroglyphgames.com
Sigma Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 If the game is suppose to be as good as they say it will be, imagine how great the realism mods will be I have a good feeling about this game and the ability to mod it easily will help as well ;D I strike again!
The Saint Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Delphi if its anyone who should be getting thanks its you guys at Petroglyph. Admittingly I had a few reservations when I first heard of this game, us strategy fans have been burned in the past by SW games and I wasnt looking forward to this one until I began to see screen shots and then began to read some of the concepts. The demo really clinched my liking of this game. The modability of this game is breath taking. Even novices like myself can get involved in tweaking the universe. Hopefully more developers will take que from this. The only other game which comes to mind thats as easy to mod as this one is Half-Life. I have no doubt someone will create a new game all together using the shell of EaW as a basis. So thanks Delphi, and thanks Petroglyph.
Saracen Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 It's good for you to speak out Delphi. There has been alot of confusion with quite a lot of people gaining the presumption that this Demo represents the final code. Hopefully these people should take your words on board, and the force shall flow throughout the galaxy (I mean community..) once more. ;D
Darth Plagueis Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 It seems the single player aspect of this game is being ignored or under valued. I mean come on, playing as the empire and crushing the rebel scum with Lord Vader will be cool as hell. I would buy this game for the single player aspect alone. Necro Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 i have to say i'm REALLY loving the support pg is giving us - where one might consider modding the demo borderline warez and a big soulless corporation - say ea would try to stop it at all costs! long live pg and eaw!

It's true that we are able to mod the demo, but it still leaves with with wanting more and more, which is why some of us are very exited for the full game released on Feb 16. Oh and BTW, I know you have heard this already and ill say it again, you guys did an amazing job.
Darkmark Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Three weeks, that's a short amount of time left for all of us waiting. Congrats with the demo success. Thanks for the active role you're having in the community. Looking forward to Vader vs Ben. Lion Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Thanks for clearing that up Delphi... I know the mods are a bit of a spoiler, but it's a good indication people who play these mods loved the demo so much they wanted more. I played a few mods, but I was sold on the original demo. Different than what I'm use to with C&C games, but a welcomed change. Good to see you and others at Petroglyph taking the time to post on this fan forum. Like the old days of Westwood. Megajames Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 I know that veiches can be skinned, a German has re-skinned the millennium falcon Evacuate, in our moment of triumph. I think you overestimate their chances. Please can you post a comment on My clone story, in fan fiction. http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=2306.0 (\_/)(O.O)(> <) This is Bunny.
