Venator is in this game as a pirate ship.. hehe that's kinda funny. i say thanks to the devs who actually included the venator even though we can't control it. uhh if u want to see it for urslef, u should go download one of the mods for the demo and see for urself. SirNuke Posted January 23, 2006 Share Posted January 23, 2006 In my mod I replaced the Pirate frigate with the "Jedi Cruiser" model (aka Venator), since the game doesn't include the Pirate frigate model. Judging by the differences in hardpoints, the Pirate frigate isn't the Venator. Judging by the comments in the code, the Venator isn't going to be used in the game either (there are multiple Episode 3 units included). Which, yes, still allows modders to add it it quite easily. EDIT: Am also glad it will be one of the first things to be modded in, was by far my favorit unit in the game. All my fleets had one. Anyway, the Venator is actually in the demo as it's own ship. I had 1 in my Imperial fleet when I was messing with the datafiles. Most games where competition matter usually have rebels overpowered. This is because the majority of people want to play the good guys and be luke skywalker and all that jazz. When they find out the imps are being given advantages they scream bloody murder. The devs usually give in since that is the larger fan base.
