Stealing technology is confusing...

Okay, in the tutorial, it shows you how to steal technology with R2D2 and C3P0 with their own special fleet. The problem is, how do you do it in galactic conquest? I got up to Tatooine and decided to steal tech first before assaulting the planet. But there's no R2D2 and C3P0!! In the tutorial, it randomly gave you the stealing fleet just for instructional purposes, but how do you get it in the campaign? Same with raid fleets. Do you have to build them, or do they just arbitrarily appear on one of your planets? This really has me stumped.

raid fleets and c3po/rd2 are not in the GC in the Demo only the tuts

Let me clear this up for ya  ;D

 

1. Stealing Technology - It wasnt available in the demo galatic conquest, because it is just a demo. R2 and C3P0 will be available in the real game under certain cirumstances. I would imagine you get them as a bonus for controlling a certain planet and such.

 

2. Raid Fleets - To make a raid fleet you can put together a fleet of 3 units or less. This fleet can then bypass enemy space units and go directly to the land battle. Again, you couldnt do this in the demo galatic conquest because the Vegresso asteroids have no land map and Tatoine has no space defence to bypass.

In my mod, R2-D2 and C-3PO are immediately available, and can start stealing technology once you discover an imperial planet.

 

Once you steal all the technology for a certain tech level, your level goes up.  (It still costs money for the Rebels to steal).
