Same thing has been happening to me.  I can't remember which station type it was exactly, next time I run the demo I'll be sure to write it all down.

 

A few of the units/structures don't seem to have models (in ground combat anyway), I doubt there is anything that can be done about that.  To get rid of "invisible" structures in ground conflicts I have just been using bombing runs since my units don't seem to be damaging them.

 

Great mod though, the demo bored me very quickly... but this adds a BUNCH of new life to it.  In fact, it has made me decide to actually buy the game.  I really appreciate your efforts and look forward to more updates!

 

use the missile ships, too tried to remember thier names right now but have them bombard the station they dont actually have to target it.

first of all GREAT mod!! nice job

just a few questions

 

1 it aint possible to destroy the deathstar is it?

   it attacks me, i win the space battle but still it destroys the planet

:'(

 

2 Do you think its actually possible to play as imperial vs rebels ?(dont mean rebels with imp vessels vs imps)

 

3 did anyone get R2D2 and c3PO to steal tech from the empire ? or is this not possible since all is unlocked anway

 

4 is it possible to have buildtimes for some ships be slowed down? the pace of the galactic map is really fast lol

The problem with the space stations is that he set them as higher level stations(the one at Kuat is a lvl 5) but to get it to not be invisible, he changed it to use the L1 model. So the station LOOKS like a lvl 1, but it THINKS it has more hardpoints than it really does, making it impossible to destroy.

And when he reaches Heaven,

Why I have problems with some textures/ images? (planets galactic, units, etc) I only see a petro generic texture.

 

I will also love to have more space between planets - the galaxy is too crowded.

Really good mod i love controlling the venter soo cool im getting good at taking on thoes SD but its alittle buggy but for the most part very cool

Copy the XML Folder that is in the RAR or Zip to your Star Wars Empire at War Demo\Gamedata\Data\ Folder

 

To Play as the Empire Copy the Files From  ...Demo\Gamedata\Data\XML\Play as Empire Full Tech\ and past them into the XML Folder.

To Play the Level 1 Tech Campaign Copy the Files From ...Demo\Gamedata\Data\XML\Demo Campaign Level 1 Tech Start\ and past them into the XML Folder.

To Go Back to the Original Version Copy the Files From ...Demo\Gamedata\Data\XML\Default Rebel Files Backup\ into the XML folder.

I'm getting the same with the textures or whatnot, game crashes when I try to initiate a space combat  :'(

 

edit: Seems mainly to be related to empire faction for me at least

Vader has a problem when entering space combat. We get a froze when we want to start it after the load.

 

Btw if this guys see your mod (LEC: Jim Ward and Peter Hirschmann) they going to have a heart attack.

I was unable to destroy an invisible rebel space station, even though fighters appeared to be attacking it, as well as the missile frigates. Had 3 of those and 6 or so groups of TIE fighters hitting it with time accel on for a few minutes. Station was at Alderaan.

Obi-Wan is deffinately bugged, and so is Vader in space combat. The game crashed if you try and get them to engage forces in space.

 

Also, some of the maps that are assigned to planets are in reverse order, meaning the defend map is on fresia, so if you go to attack it, your really defending it, even though it's not your planet. This makes the planet not able to be captured.

Yeah, there is sometype of issue with Level 3 Rebel Stations (it's present in my mod as well).  I'm not sure what it is since there is a Rebel Station 3 model.

 

I like your work around to the disabled units.

id pay money to see the game devs reactions to how fast this demo was picked apart and modded =)

I was experimenting with this earlier today, changing all stations that are above level 1 to use a level 1 model creates a hardpoint issue (i.e when all hardpoints are dead the station is still alive, and has to be bombarded with missile ships) but if you dont use a level 1 model the stations are invisible and thus create either a crash situation or a no-win situation.

 

 

Also I was wondering has anyone been able to use C3P0 and R2D2 to steal technology? On another note I tried to use Obi-Wan myself but I dont think there is a file to refrence in the models.meg i'll double check though.
