What does the S-foil swich do to the x-wing, does it incres fire powerand decress acuacy, or does it just there to looks cool Edited by Cain

When they are flat like the Headhunter then the ship can go faster in atmosphere.  It needs the S-foils to be open however to attack.

I hereby make a vote that we invade Microsoft's head office and make them regret ever created the marquee html tag.

 

Then we would go after Netscape for the Blink tag, but they don't exist anymore (at least not the original Netscape developers)

What I used this ability for is for "raiding" the enemy. Fly your X-Wings and Y-Wings towards the enemy, let your X-Wings take on the enemy fighters while your Y-Wings do one or two bombing runs and then call them back. When the Y-Wings are out of reach close the foils and retreat. I managed to do this one or two times without looosing a single fighter.
